Face Is Art: 30 Surreal Faces To Inspire You

Face! It’s what humans express their own expression, happy or sad, excited or angry. It’s also how humans judge one’s beauty like, let’s say, who doesn’t want to have a face like Brad Pitt or Megan Fox, or Gerald Butler, you know, the one who casted king Leonidas in the movie 300.

Eww, that will be ugly, but wait, think again after you enjoyed this showcase.
As you might’ve expected, in this showcase there will be absolutely no handsome or beautiful face, but just cool and inspiring face which received serious Photoshop surgery by artists who apparently don’t know what is the limitation of art. You’ve seen all kind of beautiful faces in your life, but now, let these face challenge your view of beauty, have fun!

When it comes to blogging, readers are the blogger’s customer base, because its very survival depends on a stable readership. Unless your blog only serves as a personal diary, you should aim to inspire others with your writings. You’ll be surprised how your words can lift others up, or given them a great inspiration or help in certain area they need.

However, I’ve identified 7 essential approaches to make your blog inspiring enough to sustain a fair amount of readership, under what I termed as I.N.S.P.I.R.E:

Beautiful Photos of India

India is the land of colors where different cultures and people live together prosperously. It is a mystic land and is rightly called as the land of prayers. People of different ethnicity and religion live in India and call it their motherland. Basis of these different ethnicity and religions can be found in the country’s history.
It has been ruled by Hindus, Muslims as well as Christians from time to time. These rulers have built incredible buildings that are a landmark of this country. Most of the heritage buildings were built by Mughals who ruled the country for more than 300 years. The most important building of them all, the Taj Mahal was built by Shah Jahan -a Mughal ruler- in memory of his wife, Mumtaz. Anyone who has been to India knows the importance of these buildings and what they mean in terms of the historic value.

Recycled Art:66 Masterpieces Made From Junks

Ever shocked by the beauty of toilet paper rolls, or saw the chicken formed by the egg shells, or witnessed coolest lion made by tires? Heck, all of them are even made by common things you discarded every day, and they are known as recycled art.

Recycled art is not something that’s beautiful but just a waste of time and space. It’s like alchemy which turns base metal into gold, except that it turns trashes into gold. Take recycled Optimus Prime with 2.5 meters tall as example, it was sold with 7800 U.S. dollars, sounds like a good price for a combination of metals which were originally treated as trashes.
Are they really that beautiful and worth the purchase? You can figure out the answer with 68 jaw-dropping recycled arts showcased in this post, which include items I mentioned above and other stunning work as well like Michael Jackson’s portrait formed by cassette tape, robot constructed by hard disks, paintings made on diskette, anything you never think of! And for the first time, you will be amazed by the beauty of reformed trashes.

Cinemagraph: 28 Still Photos With Subtle Motion

So today we’re going to showcase animated GIF artwork but there are not the regular GIF we use on websites. These are beautiful twist from somehow nasty animated Gif artworks with the use of high quality photos from modern photography, and the pioneer, Jamie Beck and Kevin Burg called it – Cinemagraph.

(Image source: From Me To You)

Like what you’ve seen in most GIF animation, cinemagraph is a product of still photo with minor elements moving on. It’s nothing impressive on technique but what makes cinemagraph unique is it brings back certain part of the photo to life, thus making the entire photo more realistic, attractive and sometimes even thought-provoking, just like the magical newspaper from the movie Harry Potter.
Dozens of photographers have found this technique interesting, so do we. While they are making their first attempt on cinemagraph, we go on by collecting 28 quality, realistic and thought-provoking cinemagraphs for your enjoyment and inspiration and, be prepared to get impressed!

Robot Solves Rubik’s Cube In 10 Seconds [Video]

Students at the Swinburne University of Technology have built a robot called Ruby. This robot is an end-to-end solution for solving a Rubik’s Cube that was custom designed and built from scratch using base components with the objective of optimizing for speed.

The robot works by scanning each face of a scrambled cube through a web cam and then developing a solution using a software algorithm which is used to solve the cube using a high-speed robot. The total solve time including the initial face scanning is approximately 10 seconds.

Ruby is the fusion of a fast computer vision-tracking system, a software implementation of an algorithm and a real-time embedded control system capable of very high precision motor movements and timings. This project was achieved with the integration of the student’s expertise in robotics and software engineering.
